PODS, Inc. just delivered its one millionth POD, and though the delivery wasn’t on the Central Coast, local franchise owner Steve Yapp is still celebrating.
“As a PODS franchise owner, it is a thrill to be a part of the millionth PODS container delivery,” Yapp said in a release. “We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for their support and patronage, since their business added to this momentous occasion.”
Yapp owns the PODS franchise that serves Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo counties. In 2007, he donated PODS containers to many organizations in the tri-counties region, totaling $78,000 in donations.
Some of those organizations include the Boys & Girls Clubs, FOOD Share of Ventura County, Casa Pacifica, Toys 4 Tots, the California Strawberry Festival, the Ojai Music Festival, Relay for Life, the C.H.P. Holiday Toy Drive, the Salvation Army, Santa Maria Good Samaritan, the California Visitors Center, Simi Valley Days, Catholic Charities, and wildfire and flood relief efforts in Moorpark, San Diego, and Malibu.
The PODS system offers a storage unit that can be packed up at home and then picked up and stored at a PODS location. For more information, visit www.pods.com.
