Celebrate all that goes into your salad and the people who get produce to your plate at the inaugural Salad Bowl Festival on Sept. 12 in Guadalupe.
The event kicks off with a half marathon and 5k run/walk, with registration beginning at 6:45 a.m. The celebration continues throughout the day with arts and crafts, family- and kid-friendly games, and healthy living booths. A salad dressing competition starts at
1 p.m., with cash prizes awarded to winners in two different categories and three age groups.
The event runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at LeRoy Park, 4630 11th St.
