This fall, Allan Hancock College’s Lompoc Valley Center, in conjunction with the Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce, is offering a new business-friendly Customer Service Academy.
Beginning Sept. 12, the six-part series of classes will meet two Saturdays each in September, October, and November. Upon completion of the academy, students will be awarded a customer service certificate.
The program is designed to give people the skills necessary to provide quality customer service at any business. Students will learn about business concepts and management techniques, including verbal communication, listening, conflict management, and more.
The classes will be held on Sept. 12 and 26, Oct. 10 and 24, and Nov. 7 and 21, and meet from 8:30 a.m. to 5:20 p.m. in room 1-202 at the Lompoc center.
Fees are $78 for the series or $13 per individual workshop, and employer assistance or financial aid is available. A one-time $17 health fee is also required.
Students can register for the series up to the first day of classes at the Lompoc center administration office in Building 1.
