Though the actual crafts to be made are a secret, the Santa Maria Public Library’s teen gift-making workshop will be a far cry from creating a kindergarten handprint reindeer on construction paper.
Handmade ornaments, cards, mugs, and sweet treats are potential outflows of creative productivity that could happen on Dec. 18 between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. While crafting happens, two holiday films, The Santa Clause and The Muppet Christmas Carol, will be shown and snacks will be provided.
Tickets for the event are free and can be picked up at the Youth Services desk. Anyone in junior high or high school is welcome. For more information, contact Mrs. Harmer at 925-0994.
The event will be held in the Altrusa Theater in the library, 421 S. McClelland St., and is sponsored by the Friends of the Santa Maria Public Library.
