Anyone interested in attending a four-year university in California or the rest of the nation is invited to attend Allan Hancock College’s University Transfer Day on Nov. 1 at the college’s Santa Maria campus.

Attendees will get to meet and speak with representatives from more than 40 colleges and universities to get information about academic programs, admission, scholarships, housing, and more.

Anyone who is considering attendance at a four-year college or university is strongly encouraged to take advantage of this great opportunity,” Julie Vasques, Hancock’s interim University Transfer Center coordinator/counselor, said in a press release. “This free event is vitally important in that it allows students and members of the community to meet with college reps, ask questions, explore possibilities, and gather information that might otherwise require a visit to each university. It saves a lot of time and hassle when the university comes to you.”

Some of the colleges represented will include Cal Poly in SLO, Cal State Northridge, Cal State Fresno, UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis, and Stanford University.

The event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Student Center (building G), and there will be free pizza courtesy of Hancock’s Associated Student Body Government.

For more information, call the University Transfer Center at 922-6966, Ext. 3293.
