Pioneer Valley High School recently got a financial boost from State Farm Insurance through the agency’s State Farm es Para MĆ program. The panthers were selected, along with 71 other schools and nonprofits nationwide, to receive a $1,000 educational grant.

According to information from State Farm’s website, the agency gives grants based on how groups work to close the achievement gap in their communities, encouraging students to stay in school and earn their high school diplomas. The grants are specifically designed to support efforts within Hispanic communities to increase student graduation rates.

ā€œWe are proud to support Pioneer Valley High School in [its] effort to keep students in school. It is truly what the Para MĆ program is all about and I’m excited to be partnering with school leaders,ā€ State Farm Insurance agent Donna Randolph said in the release.

Randolph presented a check for $1,000 to Pioneer Valley administrators during a special ceremony on Jan. 20 at the high school.
