Resolutions Nutrition is an instantly inviting business. With lime-green walls, comfortable couches, and a friendly atmosphere, the health club offers not only a wide variety of nutritional shakes, but also the perfect venue to sit down and stay for a spell.

Owners Hannah Reed and Patrick Snow moved to California from Newport, R.I. Snow spends his weekdays working at Vandenberg Air Force Base, while Reed works full-time in their new business. Healthy living and helping others learn more about proper nutrition is their joint passion, and Resolutions is an ideal place for them to share these concepts with their surrounding community.

Resolutions opened its doors on March 1, 2014, and has been gaining momentum and notice ever since.

ā€œThis isn’t just a health club, it’s a healthy environment,ā€ Snow said.

Indeed, the entire staff at Resolutions is committed to providing their customers and members with a positive atmosphere and professional motivation. With free hikes, fitness camps, and nutritional guidance, Resolutions can assist in everything from weight loss to muscle gain.

Their system is simple: A membership costs $8 per visit, and includes a variety of things. To start, visitors are given a shot of aloe water infused with mango. The aloe water serves a variety of purposes, from helping control regularity to soothing heartburn and indigestion. Snow explained that aloe’s internal benefits are as effective as its well-known skin and hair treatments.

Next, customers are treated to a tea of their choice. Tea is served hot or cold, depending on individual preference, and is thermogenic, meaning that it can help burn calories. An all-natural shake finishes off the healthy trio. With a plethora of flavors listed on their visually accessible menu, it’s hard to choose just one.

ā€œWe want to work individually with customers, and be a positive influence in the community,ā€ Snow said.

Resolutions uses only Herbalife ingredients in their products, a parent company that strives to provide people with healthy and affordable food.

ā€œIt’s about a lifestyle,ā€ Snow said.

That lifestyle is a learning process. The staffers at Resolutions aim to equip clients with the necessary tools to lead healthier and more fulfilled lives. Whether members need an all-natural energy boost or want to get involved with a weight-loss challenge, Resolutions staffers accommodate all who walk into their open, welcoming business.

Though Resolutions does have local competition, ā€œour only enemy is obesity,ā€ Snow said.

He also pointed out that he and the entire staff strive to know their customers by name and to provide an individualized experience. However, they are also happy to provide a quick and healthy meal to people on the go.

For those who are seeking free nutritional counseling and looking for a jump-start to a healthier lifestyle, Resolutions is the place to go. With a pleasant staff and passionate owners, it seems like the right time to get out and start a mid-year’s resolution.
