To help those in need, Spencer’s Fresh Markets is asking shoppers to join it in its support of 211 SLO Hotline.
As part of its “Give a Buck, Get a Buck” program, Spencer’s will give shoppers who donate $1 to the hotline a $1 off coupon toward their next purchase of $10 or more.
The SLO 211 Hotline is a 40-year community-driven social services call center that offers crisis support and provides referrals for low cost health and human services throughout the Central Coast. More than 19,000 people called the hotline for help in the last year alone, and the cost of the service is rising to cover the increasing call volume. The 211 Hotline doesn’t receive state or federal funding.
