After 30 years in business, Central Coast-based Solarponics announced the opening of a new home office in Santa Ynez that will service Santa Maria, Orcutt, Lompoc, and the Santa Ynez Valley.

The alternative-energy company hired Todd Burnett to offer solar electric engineering and servicing to the area. Burnett worked in the electrical industry before taking over a printing company in Santa Ynez, where he’s worked for the past 10 years.

Family owned and operated since 1975, Solarponics installs solar electric systems, solar hot water, wind energy systems, and pool and radiant heating systems.
