To celebrate National Recreation and Parks month, the Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department is holding special classes and events at no cost during July.
A three-week complimentary tennis class starts on July 12 and runs from 2 to 3 p.m. The class is open to everyone ages 5 and older. A free three-week introduction to pottery class that is open to people ages 8 and older starts on July 18 and runs from 1 to 2 p.m.
Teens can participate in a variety of activities, including fitness, cooking, money management, and a Girls’ Night Out.
