The city of Santa Maria is seeking representatives to serve on several key governmental boards, commissions, and committees for 2009. The deadline to submit an application to fill one of the vacancies is Dec. 19 at 5 p.m.

City groups with vacancies include the All-America City Committee, the Code Compliance Board, the Community Action Commission, the Landmark Committee, the Planning Commission, the Recreation and Parks Commission, and the Santa Maria Community Television Board.

Unless a specific advisory body has a city residency requirement, the Santa Maria City Council appoints city residents to fill appointed positions on all commissions, boards, and committees whenever possible.Ā 

Submit applications online at ci.santa-maria.ca.gov, or in person at the city clerk’s office, Santa Maria City Hall, 110 E. Cook St., room 3.
