The Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors wants to know what its residents look for in a county executive officer. The county’s top elected officials are currently soliciting participation in a short survey on the county’s website, countyofsb.org.

The survey, generated through the professional consulting firm Ralph Andersen and Associates, asks participants to rank the importance of several qualities on a scale of one to five. Some of these attributes include fiscal acumen, organizational skills, community involvement, and leadership skills. The survey also provides room for additional comments, and is available in English and in Spanish.

The Board of Supervisors is expected to use the survey results to help it find a replacement for current CEO Mike Brown, who announced his retirement earlier this year.
