One person’s unwanted possession is another’s treasure. In the spirit of a white elephant gift exchange, Santa Barbara Bank and Trust employees have brought some of their possessions to local branches. In a slight twist, the items aren’t gifts, they’re for sale.

The white elephant sale is part of Santa Barbara Bank and Trust’s annual United Way Campaign. From July 28 to Aug. 1, community members can stop in at any Santa Barbara Bank and Trust branch and bid on the items. All proceeds from the sales will be donated to the United Way.

The highest bidder as of noon on Aug. 1 will walk away with the prize. Bidding starts at these participating branches: Lompoc, 200 North H St.; Lompoc, 1307 North H St.; Vandenberg Village, 3787 Constellation Road; Solvang, 2445 Alamo Pintado; Buellton, 157 West Highway 246; Santa Maria, 335 East Betteravia Road; and Santa Maria, 1500 South Broadway.
