The national program is sponsored by Jostens and is designed to acknowledge student success.

Seniors, juniors, and sophomores had to apply for the award through the associated student body (ASB), which screened the applicants; verified GPAs; and created the invitations, programs, and certificates. ASB students also designed the T-shirts for award recipients.

Karle Pulido, a junior, said the experience would help her get accepted to college. Senior Victoria Real said good study habits and good grades are an important part of having college choices. Vice Principal Dave Hutton said in a press release that he believes the ceremonies are a good opportunity to acknowledge the academic success of Righetti’s students.
