The North County Rape Crisis & Child Protection Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing sexual assault and child abuse, is looking for volunteers to begin hotline training at its Santa Maria and Lompoc locations.
Training consists of a wide spectrum of information, from legal prosecution and child abuse, to helping clients deal with depression or post-traumatic stress disorder after a molestation or assault.
Orientation for the position in Lompoc will be held on Aug. 26 at the Lompoc office, located at 511 E. Ocean Ave. The Santa Maria orientation will take place Sept. 13 at 301 S. Miller St., 103.
