On June 22, Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department narcotics officers, with the help of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency and the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, uncovered an alleged South County drug trafficking ring after serving six search warrants in both Santa Barbara and Tulare counties. The busts yielded nearly three pounds of cocaine, nine ounces of methamphetamine, an ounce of black powder heroin, an ounce of black tar heroin, 15 pounds of bagged marijuana, three loaded handguns, two loaded rifles, and more than $62,000 in cash and assets. Four individuals were arrested in relation to the investigation.
