The purpose of the event was to learn more about the Academy and how educators can better inform, inspire, and assist interested students who may want to pursue a career in the U.S. Navy. The program highlighted the rigorous academic, athletic, and extracurricular components required to be considered eligible for the challenging educational opportunity.

The academy is a four-year program, and every midshipman graduates with a Bachelor of Science degree. Experiences such as study abroad, language immersion, faculty-led cultural opportunities, foreign cruises, and professional engagements are just a few of the benefits students have access to. Ā

ā€œThis event was a very enlightening and exciting experience,ā€ Apple said in a press release. ā€œI feel very fortunate to have been selected to participate in this opportunity and look forward to sharing all that I have learned and experienced with one of the most impressive programs in our country.ā€
