Allan Hancock College’s Parent Participation Program is accepting applications for 2009-2010 preschool enrollment through March 31. Children must be at least 3 years old by Aug. 1 to be enrolled.

The program creates an environment based on the premise that learning is an active process for families, not just children. It aims to supports a child’s development, as well as help parents understand, enjoy, and appreciate the growing process.

Enrollment is limited to 20 preschoolers. The program runs at the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum, 705 S. McClelland St., in Santa Maria.

Applications are available at the preschool or can be requested by calling preschool director Judith Dal Porto at 928-8414.
