Pack up your bags and bring your crayons: Allan Hancock College’s parent-child workshop has moved to a new site. The program is now operating inside the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum.
According to a press release from Allan Hancock College, applications are still available for the 2008-09 academic year. Enrollment is open to children who are at least 3 years old by Sept. 1.
The program provides a hands-on learning environment based on the principle that learning is an active process for parents as well as children.
The Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum is located at 705 S. McClelland St. in Santa Maria.
Applications are available at the Discovery Museum and can also be requested by contacting preschool director Judith Dal Porto at 714-6796 or jdalporto@hancockcollege.edu.
