A new metaphysical and new age bookstore, Wisdom Island, has moved into Nipomo.
The bookstore specializes in astrology software, fountains, feng shui elements, sacred statuary, incense, candles, tarot cards and oracles, jewelry, crystals, greeting cards, and more.
Owners Kalua Kuhnle and Sampa Tacorda serve Hilo Hawaiian coffee and exotic teas and offer a relaxed atmosphere for interested people to meet, read, discuss, or go online. Visitors can revitalize with a therapeutic massage by therapist Randie Maillet, who offers Swedish, hot stone, pregnancy, and accident injury massage.
The store’s grand opening is on June 27.
Wisdom Island is located in Suite H at 505 Orchard Road in Nipomo’s La Placita Shopping Center. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesdays through Sundays. Massage hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursdays or by appointment.
