There’s good news for MotionZ, the beleaguered laser tag and arcade destination. It’s back in business and staying in the Santa Maria Town Center.

According to a news release from MotionZ owner George Majoue, the owner and mall manager of Santa Maria Town Center East were touring several units in the mall and were impressed by the operations at MotionZ.

“They approached us about whether we would reconsider the possibility of staying open,” Majoue said in a release. “Needless to say, we were very interested.”

After three weeks of negotiations, a decision was made that will keep MotionZ open.

“People may think this was a marketing ploy on our part. I can guarantee you, this was not.” Majoue said. “The economic times are still tough and affecting everyone. My wife and I are determined to overcome the negatives and focus on the positives.”
