On Dec. 16, Mission Community Bank opened its first branch location in Santa Barbara County. The new office is in Santa Maria at 1670 S. Broadway, and comes complete with a drive-up window and ATM.
To celebrate its opening, the branch has a free checking offer and will hold a drawing for a $250 gas card.
Local banker Brooks Wise, who was named president of Mission Community Bank in 2007, is leading the Santa Maria team with help from fellow bankers Dan Cavanagh (senior vice president and senior commercial lending officer for the Santa Maria branch) and Jackie Holland (assistant vice president and operations officer for the branch).
Wise is the immediate past president of the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce and is a board member of the Santa Maria Valley Boys & Girls Club. Heās also past president and a current board member of the Cal Poly Mustang Athletic Fund.
Cavanagh is president of the Kiwanis for Kids Foundation, past president of the Santa Maria Noontime Kiwanis, and a board member of the Santa Maria Affiliate of the Santa Barbara Foundation.
Holland oversees branch staff development and is responsible for operations policies, procedures, and security controls. Sheās a member of the Santa Maria Noontime Kiwanis, Latin American Social Organization, Boys & Girls Club of Santa Maria, and the Central Coast SPCA.
Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, with the drive-up window opening at 8 a.m. Monday through Friday. The office phone number is 621-5200.
