Hospital President Chuck Cova said hospital staffers are currently going through training to ā€œfully understand how we will function in the [new] building.ā€ The hospital has hired 65 new employees since January and projects hiring a total of 200 new employees by the end of the year.

ā€œThe only thing missing are the patients,ā€ he told the Sun in a recent interview.

Staffers will start moving patients on May 22, and all patients admitted to the Emergency Room past 8 a.m. will go to the new hospital, which is connected to the old facility on three levels including the basement and first and second floors.
