There are now openings for infants and children ages three months to five years old at Allan Hancock College’s Children’s Center Lab School.

Ā

Located on Hancock’s Santa Maria campus, the school is designed to provide for children a diverse, nurturing, developmentally appropriate, and culturally inclusive environment, according to a press release from the college.

Ā

Children at the center are educated by Allan Hancock College students enrolled in the early childhood studies program. Under the supervision of the experienced staff member, the children in the program benefit from the latest research-based methods of learning.

Ā

The Children’s Center is a bilingual institution and also has low staff-to-student ratios of one to three for infants, one to four for toddlers, and one to eight for pre-school students. Meals are also included with the cost of participation.

Ā

Hancock’s Children’s Center is open Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Daily fees at the center range by age and the child’s part-time or full-time status.
