The city of Lompoc’s Recreation Division is collaborating with the Lompoc Unified School District (LUSD) in its Free Lunch for Kids program, available at several city locations during the summer. The Lompoc Recreation Division and the LUSD is working with with other community organizations as well, according to a release from the city of Lompoc, including the Lompoc Public Library, the Anderson Recreation Center, YMCA, and Boys and Girls Club. LUSD Child Nutrition Services provided the lunches.

The lunches are available for kids 18 years old and younger. Kids need no applications, paperwork, or identification, but food must be eaten on sight. The free lunches are available at seven sites Monday through Friday.
Locations include the Boys and Girls Club Lompoc, 1025 W. Ocean Ave., through Aug. 5 at noon with a snack available at 3 p.m.; the Anderson Recreation Center, 125 W. Walnut St., through Aug. 5 with lunch at 12:30 p.m. and a snack at 3:30 p.m.; the YMCA at La Honda Elementary, 1213 North A St., through Aug. 5 with lunch at 12:30 p.m.; the Lompoc Public Library, 501 E. North St., through Aug. 5 with lunch at noon; and the El Camino Community Center, 320 North J St., through Aug. 5 with breakfast at 9 a.m. and lunch at 12:30 p.m.
