Timothy Holt, president of Preservation Capital Group LLC, successfully completed level II of the Professional Development Series at the Grubb and Ellis 2008 Real Estate Symposium. The two-day event was held in Newport Beach, and sponsored by the Tenant-In-Common Association. The topics covered were recent developments in commercial real estate, specifically relating to 1031 tax deferred exchanges and various institutional real estate securities.

“With the residential real estate market suffering from weakness, it was interesting to learn how and if our institutional related real estate securities would be effected,” Holt said in a release.

Income securities were also a hot topic at the seminar, according to the news release.

“Income securities are a large part of our practice. Helping our clients receive reasonable income in a not-so-reasonable environment is a challenge met by preparation,” Holt said.

Preservation Capital Group has offices in Santa Maria, San Luis Obispo, and Atascadero. Holt can be reached at 792-5565. For more information, visit www.preservationcapital.us.
