Altrusa International of Santa Maria will hold its annual membership event to get the public acquainted with the organization’s work in the Santa Maria Valley on Feb. 20.
Some of Altrusa’s past projects include the Senior Citizen’s Project; the Santa Maria Independent Living Environment (SMILE); and a monthly donation of books to Community Health Clinics in Santa Maria and Guadalupe and other non-profit organizations.
Altrusa International Foundation’s spring grant applications are currently available, with an April 1 deadline to apply. Obtain applications by contacting Diane at stevens280@comcast.net.
The group’s membership event takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Santa Maria Elks Lodge at 1309 Bradley Road.
