• July 25: Sugar—How Much is Too Much?

• Aug. 1: Nutrition and Wound Healing

• Aug. 15: Dietary Fats—What’s the Difference?

• Aug. 22: Vitamins & Minerals: How Much Do You Really Need?

• Aug. 29: Healthy Grocery Shopping—It’s Possible!

Bailey joined Cottage Health System as a clinical dietitian in August 2011. She provides both in-patient and out-patient dietary management and counseling services, and assists in meal and menu planning, specifically for Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital.

One-on-one nutrition sessions with Bailey are also available with a doctor’s referral. Bailey received a master’s degree in nutrition from Arizona State University. She became a registered dietitian in 2001 and certified diabetes educator in 2008.

“My goal is to provide nutrition education to the greater community as well as our staff and volunteers. I feel good nutrition is vital to health and well-being,” Bailey said in a press release. “I especially want to serve those with a diabetes diagnosis since up until now, there seems to have been limited diabetes education services in the Santa Ynez Valley. I hope to share the tools for people to improve their health and well-being.”
