The Central Coast Wine Competition has announced the judges for its June 17 event in Paso Robles.
The 15-member panel will be led by Chief Judge Bob Foster and includes members of the wine industry, trade, and media. Foster is assistant editor of the California Grapevine wine newsletter and has more than 25 years of wine judging experience.
The 2010 judges include Tom Bertrand, West Steak and Seafood; Edmund Browning, food and beverage manager of the Island Hotel; Michael Cervin of Santa Barbara Magazine; Joy Cushing, Napa Rose sommelier; Laurie Daniel, journalist; Barbara Ensurd, Appellation American; Kenneth Fugelsang, CSU-Fresno; Joe Hart, Hart Winery; Jonathan Mitchell, the Palm Restaurant; Stephens Moody, Terrentine Wine Brokerage; Gray Randolph, certified sommelier; Allan Stark, Maddalena Vineyard Brands; Mike Stepanovich, Bakersfield Magazine; and David Stevens, international winemaking consultant.
The CCWC is also accepting applications for apprentice and guest judges until June 1.
