Roll over Martha Stewart, there’s a new cookbook in town, and the Santa Maria Valley isn’t big enough for the both of you. Habitat for Humanity has compiled, published, and is selling cookbooks to raise funds to build homes in the area.
The recipe book offers something for everyone at $9.95 before tax. Pay $12.95 to have it mailed.
The cookbook includes more than 200 family recipes for appetizers, main dishes, and desserts.
When the recipes began to pile in around July, submitting volunteers also included their stories. The book features origins of the recipes and descriptions of how they’ve been passed down through time.
Anyone interested in buying a recipe book can call 928-5399. As of this printing, there were 200 copies left.
