Learn how to take an active role in finding funds for local nonprofits with the Nonprofit Development Officer Certificate Program. A free information session is set for Jan. 14, 9 to 10:30 a.m., at Nonprofit Support Center’s Santa Maria office, 120 E. Jones St.
There’s also a session set for Jan. 20, 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at the center’s San Luis Obispo office, 4102 Vachell Lane.
The session will cover an overview of the program, scholarship opportunities, registration, and deadlines. There will also be a question-and-answer period.
The program itself starts on Feb. 19, and runs March 5 and 19 as well. All sessions last from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cost is $360 for Nonprofit Support Center members, or $510 for non-members.
