On. Oct. 6, dozens of local housing authorities, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders will come together again in an effort to help end chronic homelessness in Santa Barbara County. And now the Housing and Support Services Collaboration Conference is open to the public.

The event will be held at the Santa Ynez Valley Marriot in Buellton, where representatives from the Good Samaritan Shelter, People’s Self-help Housing, and several other organizations will discuss ways to increase the opportunities and assistance given to the community’s homeless.

The conference is a follow-up to a previous housing conference in May, which educated the audience on the programs available to the homeless within our county.
