With only a few months left in the school year, there will soon be many high school graduates wondering what to do. So Allan Hancock College, partnering with Cuesta College, is going to hold workshops to inform high school students, and their parents, about the opportunities available for ā€œfree cash for college.ā€

The workshops will talk about the FAFSA and the CAL-Grant forms of financial aid.

Those who would like to attend a workshop should remember to bring the student’s Social Security number or any other form of government issued ID, the parent’s Social Security number, and tax forms. Also, students should have on-hand their preferred college list.Ā

Seven workshops will be held throughout the area, which will start on Feb. 2 at Paso Robles High School and will end at Santa Maria High School on Feb. 16. For the exact dates and sites of the workshops, and the full list of materials to bring, go to hancockcollege.edu. In addition, people with more questions can call the Central Coast Cal-SOAP office at 922-6966, Ext. 3710.
