Allan Hancock College is offering a class to help nonprofit professionals hone their skill. Nonprofit Management II is a class that offers an in-depth focus on management and leadership skills that are fundamental to the nonprofit and human services sectors. Topics include dealing with financial uncertainty, the art of making high-quality group decisions, fostering effective partnerships between board members and key staff, strengthening board performance, using new approaches to program evaluation, proposal writing, sustainability, managing human resources, and program design/development.
The class runs from Feb. 20 through March 5 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Santa Maria campus. There is a $144 fee. For more information check out the spring community education catalog at hancockcollege.edu.
