Attention mathletes and numbers enthusiasts: The seventh annual North County Math Superbowl will take over the Santa Maria Fairpark on May 17 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. At the event, students from 27 schools—from Lompoc to Santa Ynez to Santa Maria—will battle it out to be the North County’s top mathematicians. Fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-grade students will take individual tests, team tests, and participate in a hands-on building activity. School officials will present trophies, plaques, medals, and ribbons to individuals, grade-level teams, and schools for first through fifth place.

The North County Math Superbowl is sponsored by the Orcutt Union School District, Rabobank, and the Santa Barbara County Office of Education.
