First-time homebuyers can find help when it comes to making loan decisions and avoid getting into a bad investment by attending a free seminar on April 22 in Orcutt.

Peoples’ Self-Help Housing will be host to the workshop from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Mariposa Townhomes, 290 Park View South. Brian Kerrigan, the organization’s housing counselor, will lead the meeting. He’s fluent in Spanish, as are other PSHH instructors on hand to speak with attendees.

PSHH is a nonprofit with a mission to provide affordable housing to low-income families, seniors, and other special needs groups on the Central Coast. Since 1970, the group has helped more than 1,000 individuals and families build their own self-help homes.

To attend, call 781-3088. Visit pshhc.org for a complete schedule of seminars.
