Want to learn how to peacefully resolve conflicts? Conflict Solutions Center/Community Mediation is hosting a free hour-long mediation skills workshop in Santa Maria on June 11.

With more than 24 years of mediation experience, workshop trainer Kimberly Rosa has facilitated communication workshops and provided training to businesses, government, prisons, schools, and community groups. She’ll teach workshop attendees the skills necessary to defuse conflicts right in the moment with bosses, neighbors, spouses, or complete strangers.

Participants will also learn how to communicate with maximum effect and how to transform the thinking, language, judgments, and behaviors that negatively impact relationships. Attendees will also learn more about upcoming training toward a mediator’s certificate.

The free introductory workshop runs from noon to 1 p.m. at the Conflict Solutions Center, located at 120 East Jones St., suite 133, in Santa Maria.

For more information, or to register for the workshop, visit CSCSB.org or call Laura Davidson at 349-8943.
