There’s a way for busy people to fit college into their schedules: Allan Hancock College’s Saturday-only credit classes.

“We know our students are extremely busy. Many work and have other commitments. Saturday classes allow people more flexibility as they plan their college schedules,” Rebecca Alarcio, the college’s director of public affairs and publications, said in a press release.

The college is offering 32 Saturday classes, ranging in credit from half a unit to four units, next spring at the Santa Maria campus and at the Lompoc Valley Center. Some classes include winemaking, art, business, drama, early childhood studies, environmental technology, and paralegal studies.

Details about these and all other spring classes can be found online at hancockcollege.edu by clicking “class search” under Spring 2012 in the upper right corner of the home page.

Other alternative learning methods offered by the college include online classes, Fast Track classes lasting eight weeks or less, and evening classes.

California residents pay $36 a unit and some other minimal fees.

Spring registration continues through Jan. 27, with many classes beginning the week of Jan. 23. Register online via myHancock, accessed from the college website home page.
