Female small-business owners can learn how to take advantage of federal contracting opportunities thanks to a new online U.S. Small Business Administration training course.

The free tutorial, Winning Federal Contracts: A Guide for Women Entrepreneurs, is part of a government-wide initiative to promote opportunities for women-owned businesses in the area of government contracting. It’s designed to help female entrepreneurs learn about the procurement process and to prepare them to compete for contracts.

The self-paced guide uses audio and script to provide information about contract rules, how to sell to the government, and where to find contracts.

The course is available from the U.S. Small Business Administration website at sba.gov.
