Women interested in launching, growing, and sustaining a successful business can learn valuable tools and resources at the Women’s Economic Ventures’ fall continuum of programs.

The group is currently registering participants for its intensive Self-Employment Training course, which will be held in Santa Maria beginning in September.

Ā

The class runs for 14 consecutive weeks—one night a week for three hours—including two full Saturdays.

Ā

Participants leave the course with a business plan, including a marketing plan, a cash flow projection, an operations plan, and a core network to help sustain the business. Classes are taught in both English and Spanish.

Ā

All participants must attend a one-hour orientation workshop, which will be held in Santa Maria on weekdays throughout the month of August.

Ā

In October, WEV is also launching a new program: Business Plan Intensive. The course is designed to help entrepreneurs prepare for financing, start up a new business, or expand an existing one. The six-week business-plan-writing course is geared toward business owners who need to implement a launch or growth strategy and need an infusion of capital.
