People for Leisure and Youth, Inc. (P.L.A.Y., Inc.) and the Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department will hold the annual Tastes of Mexico fundraiser on Sept. 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Veterans’ Memorial Community Center, 313 W. Tunnell St., Santa Maria.
The Righetti High School Marimba Band and Folklorico dancers, along with Los Caporales and Mariachi Imperial, will perform while attendees enjoy a casual evening of authentic Mexican food and beverages provided by some of the best restaurants in Santa Maria.
The cost is $30 per person or $100 for four people, and includes plenty of food and imported beer and margarita samples. Tickets are available at the Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department, located at 615 S. McClelland St.
