During the month of July, Central Coast kids can spend their days time traveling through the artistic ages, building a drought-resistant garden, visiting with local safety officers, or constructing robots at the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum.
The museumās summer programs will offer a range of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM)-inspired activities starting with Art Through the Ages from July 6 through 10 and ending with Robotics 101 from July 27 through 31. Gardening Together will run from July 13 to 17, and Safety Town will run July 20 through 24.
Families can register for the camps at the Discovery Museum, 705 McClelland St. in Santa Maria, or online at smvdiscoverymuseum.org. The robotics camp costs $80 for museum members and $100 for nonmembers. All other camps cost $70 for members and $85 for nonmembers.
