Children ages 8 and older can head over the Creation Station Fabric and Quilt Shop in Buellton and get down with their creative side just in the nick of time to shove presents under the tree.

The Creation Station is offering up two kid-friendly gift-crafting classes to add a little flair to its holiday season and to get handmade gifts into the hands of area parents and grandparents.

On Dec. 12, pillowcases in various stages of completion will take over the store floor. The shop warns patrons to allow at least three hours to get from start to finish, but class-takers can stop in at any time between noon and 7 p.m. The cost for the class is $20.

Class No. 2 will result in the old-fashioned look of a burlap holiday table runner, complete with iron-on appliquƩs such as trees and snowflakes. Table runners will be made on Dec. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the cost is $25.

If parents need a little help in the last-minute gift department, the Creation Station is also offering a Last-Minute Stitch It Christmas Gift Class for adults on Dec. 14. On the class crafting list are a 10-minute table runner, pillowcase, and wine bottle bag. The class will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will cost $25 plus supplies.

The Creation Station is located at 252 E. Highway 246, Unit A, in Buellton.
