In the Dec. 3 article, “Down in the database dumps,” it was erroneously stated that LAPD did not file any report on CLETS misuse between 2010 and 2014. Between those years, the LAPD filed one report. And the person killed in a car chase with police following Madera County deputies using the CLETS terminal was not the inmate, but an innocent bystander.
