The cap and trade bill, and the legislation’s demands on small businesses and industry, will be the topics of a conference hosted by the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce on March 16.
Roy Perez, vice chairman of the California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and a small business advocate, will be the event’s featured speaker. Perez will lead an informative discussion on the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 and present the ways small businesses and environmental groups can work together to help the government implement the law in a cost-effective way.
The event takes place at the Santa Maria Fairpark’s Wagering Center at 937 S. Thornburg, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
