As any successful business owner knows, communication and presentation skills are essential tools to making a business productive. The Barnes Institute of Management Productivity and Research Center for Strategic Management would like to help managers, employees, community leaders, and job seekers improve those important skills with a free introductory Speech Communication and Skills Course in Santa Maria on Saturdays throughout January.
Attendees will be taught how to speak effectively, to see and hear how others see and hear them, and to understand and eliminate the fear of public speaking. The class will be presented four times: Jan. 8, 15, 22, and 29 at the Radisson Hotel from 9 a.m. to noon. A no-host lunch will follow the program. Seating is limited to 50 per class.
The Radisson Hotel is located at 3455 Skyway Drive, next to the Santa Maria Public Airport.
