• In the Sun’s Jan. 19 cover story, “Illness, incarcerated,” Jan Winter’s last name was misspelled. The story also incorrectly stated who owns the apartments the Mental Wellness Center utilizes for patients. The center owns them.
• In the Jan. 19 story, “Court upholds county closure of recreation complex,” the Sun incorrectly stated the year Jim Mosby petitioned the appellate court. Mosby petitioned the court in 2015.
• In the tagline for the Jan 19 commentary by Pedro Reyes, “‘Safe havens’ good for Santa Maria,” the Sun misstated Reyes’ involvement with the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). Reyes is currently unaffiliated with LULAC and advocates on his own behalf as a resident of Santa Maria.
