• In the Dec. 8 article, “Farmworkers voice concerns at Santa Barbara County forum,” the Sun misstated the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office role in cases of alleged wage theft. The DA’s office holds the primary function in prosecuting wage theft cases.
• A news brief published in the Sun’s Dec. 15 issue inaccurately stated the federal government’s position on preserving 34,000 acres of tiger salamander habitat. The government is recommending the land preservation, not requiring it.
