In the July 28 story, “Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department investigates SMPD-involved shooting,” the Sun incorrectly reported which county agency would submit its investigation of the July 25 Santa Maria Police Department-involved shooting. The Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office will conduct a review based on the Sheriff’s Department’s investigation.
