Proceeds from this fundraiser will support the Historical Society’s efforts to keep history alive in Santa Maria. According to a statement from the museum, the organization’s funding was severely cut again this year because of the city of Santa Maria’s budget problems. Money raised by the event will help keep the Historical Society and the Santa Maria Valley Historical Museum open and operating.

The reception and silent auction will begin at noon, followed by a performance of PCPA’s My Fairytale at 1:30 p.m. My Fairytale is a magical and colorful musical about Hans Christian Anderson and it’s making its American premiere here in Santa Maria.

The Marian Theater is located at 800 S. College Drive in Santa Maria. The fundraiser costs $55 per person, and includes the reception, food, and performance.
